The new method for the determination of more than 10 billion years of cold stellar age

“Nature” magazine describes a low-mass stars by rotation age determination methods. Scientists will study focused on the presence of some of the known rotation period of about 2.5 billion years of low-mass stars.

Low mass stars (aka cold stars) volume is generally equal or smaller size of the sun, the stars in the universe’s most common species, but their age is difficult to determine, because it can be observed properties to hardly make a difference over time. But the rate of rotation of the star’s cold generally significantly reduced over time, this provides a potential method for the measurement of the star through observation of known age stars rotatably measured.
